If you have not yet got your garden ready for the summer, then a good idea would be to
get started right away. There is a lot of work involved here, so you might want to start
moving right about now. If you are stuck as to where to start, why not just take it from the
Let’s see what you can do
Get rid of weeds
You don’t want your front yard looking like the Amazon when everyone else’s seems to be in
good cheer. Summon all members of your family and have them dig in with their hands for
the small and soft weed. Use hoes for the larger ones. Pile the weeds away or simply burn
Grow summer plants
Sure, the summer is going to be one of those hot spells, but that does not mean you can’t have
some lush green around you. Choose some potted plants and have them brought over. You
can also decide to tuck a vegetable garden away at a corner.
Mow the lawn
If you let the grass grow uncontrollably over the lawn in the winter, then it is time to turn on
the lawn mower. Summer is a time for vibrant landscapes, so find some time to trim your
lawn to size. At the same time, you need to think about taking care of your hedges. Trim
them if you can and prune every single plant in the compound.
We all tend to pile things all around the garden during the winter, because we never use that
space at that time of the year. Find some time and get rid of things that don’t need to be in the
garden. Dispose of what you can and stow away the rest in a shed.
Bring in summer furniture
You are going to be lounging out there in the open a lot of time, so why not make it worth the
while? You can achieve this by finding some classy furniture for your time in the sun. Why
not invest in some swedish fire logs Get a few friends around for a catch up and
all sit around the fire and enjoy each other company.
I’m contemplating getting some opinions on updating the garden at some point by our friends at a premium Edinburgh landscape design company
