The ups and downs of living with a teen

February Roundup

Well we are now into March, how quickly did February go, as I was away for the weekend I am doing my monthly update and weekly update in one go.

As always I will start with C, she has had a rough month with her illness, she has been in a lot of pain and apart from our trip to the hospital the other week, she has been bed bound, and very ill.  Her hospital appointment went well although they have diagnosed her as having severe CFS rather than just CFS.  It is just a case of working with her and taking things very slowly.  She has been unable to do any school work as been so ill, but we have a home visit with her Tutor and Manager of the Department, to see about starting home tuition today.  So hopefully that will help her a bit.

S, I just do not know where to begin, he has changed this past couple of months into someone I really do not like very much.  It has been one lot of stress after another, I was lucky enough to go away for the weekend with my husband this week, as my  parents were here for C, and he even managed to mess that up and cause a lot of stress.  He is treating me like a bit of dirt at the moment.  I can not go into detail as it will turn into a novel so will leave it at that.

February, was a busy month for us, we had a lovely invite to the opening night of a local bar and brasserie in Kingston, you can read about it here, we had a great evening, and have been invited back next week to do a full restaurant review, which I will post about next week.

I had a lovely weekend away with my husband this weekend, we went to Portsmouth, well Gunwarf Quays, which is one of our favourite places to go, although we have not been for a while.  We stayed in an Airbnb apartment.  I had fun shopping and even treated myself to a new handbag (we all know by now my love of handbags), a new pair of boots and even treated myself to a new hat.  We had a great time and was lovely to recharge our batteries and just have ourselves to worry about, although I was messaging C a lot to check she was ok. I will be writing a separate post about this soon.

I also mentioned a little while ago, about me starting a low carb diet, I did a little update which you can read here.  I am not weighing myself as am looking at it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet, but I have seen a difference.

This month I have a few things in the pipeline, so another busy month, plus can say I am going on holiday next month to Cape Verde with my husband and friends to celebrate my birthday (which is a milestone one), so will be busy preparing for that.  Plus we have Mothers Day to look forward to.

How has your month been, hope it has been a good one?

Do you have any plans for March?
