The ups and downs of living with a teen

Saving Money On Your Weekly Shop

We all suffer with the January blues, once christmas is over and we have recovered from the new years celebrations, we pack away our tinsel and glitter, and everywhere just looks grey and dull, as we set ourselves to get through January,

January is also made worse by the long wait for payday, and is a time to tighten our belts and look to get through the month and beyond.

One of the many challenges we face, is feeding our family, and I am sure it is not just me who goes shopping and it goes up each week, and it gets harder and harder to keep to a budget or save a bit of money. I shop weekly, and before I shop I look to see if I can find a good deal on a discount or vouchers for items I want to buy.

I have found a great website called, I know I have posted about discount sites before, but you know me by now, if I can save money I will, and if I can share this information with you, I will.

promocodesfor, offer codes for just about anything you want to buy, from food to holidays, as soon as you go onto their website, the first page shows you all the latest codes they have available, top retailers and popular categories.

I went on to see if I could find a discount to help with my weekly shop (if you saw my post yesterday you will know why I need to keep my shopping bills down).  I found that have some great savings at the moment.

  • Free Cadbury’s Highlights Hot Chocolate Sachet with orders
  • Save up to 50% on selected homeware and electricals
  • Save £15 on 12 months anytime  or midweek delivery pass
  • Save £18 on your first online grocery shop on orders over £80
  • Free delivery on orders over £100

The free hot chocolate sachet sold this to me, who does not like a nice mug of hot chocolate after putting their shopping away

I have also sat and looked at the electricals as I do need a new kettle after my old one decided to leak all over the place the other day and has been condemned to the bin, and I am using a cheap one that we have in the cupboards for emergencies which takes forever to boil, and then there is my food processor that has died on me and my blender which refuses to work anymore, the list goes on my husband is scared to mention anything anymore.

You can also follow promocodes across social media, so as soon as they find a discount code or voucher they will share, so you get to find out about the deal straight away.

They also have a forum, so if you find a deal or code you can post it and share with others, we all know the power of us shoppers and our knack of finding deals.

Do you like using discount codes and if shopping online look for the best deal before continuing, or are you one of those who thinks life is too short and can not be bothered.
