The ups and downs of living with a teen

Weekly Update – 07/01/2017

We are now a week into the new year, and time to restart my weekly updates again, I have had so many people ask me to start posting them again, and what better time to restart than the start of a new year.

This week has been very quiet, but very busy, I will start of with updating you on C, she restarted school on Thursday, so a nice gentle return to normality for her.  She has struggled all over christmas and up until Wednesday I really did not think she would be going in the next day.  She did fight it and did manage to go in and manage a full hour, and came out smiling.  She also had some homework given to her to read up to a certain section of a book and then draw the characters.  This is a major thing for her, as since her illness she has not been able to read  due to her brain fog, she has yet to do her drawings, but as you all know she loves her art and drawing.   Her jaw has been causing her a lot of pain and has been more painful and worse than normal.

I have been busy working and have some amazing giveaways planned (so keep checking back), and trying to update my website, but after spending hours on it, I am still trying to find the right look that I want, so we will just call it a work in progress.  I have managed to make a new banner which is on my twitter and facebook page, it is nothing fancy, but am proud as I did it all by myself, which for those who know me, I am not very good at.  I have also asked C if she would draw me so I can use it as a new branding for my blog and she has said yes, how long it will take her to do I have no idea.

Another feature I am going to include is share one photo from my memories on facebook each week, and use this as my weekly update picture.  My photo this week is C when she was about 5 playing in the snow

Other news, we had a new carpet fitted on our stairs and landing, and I love it, so much nicer than the old one we had down, I now want the whole house fitted with new carpets but do not think my husband will agree.

Thank you for visiting x

    1. We did get off to a positive start, I have briefly seen the drawing, and she has a different view of what I think I look like, but she is happy with it,just need her to finally send it to me
