While the use of e-cig has risen with adolescents and teens, it has also steadily gained popularity with many adults. This means the increase in e-cig use in the younger population likely mirrors the trend in society in general. As vaping becomes more popular with adults, so will its popularity with kids and teens.
Still, no one wants someone to begin vaping, especially a child. Vaping can lead to a lifelong addiction to nicotine. While there’s a lot of debate as to whether an e-cigarette can act as a gateway to a long-term nicotine addiction, most people would agree that kids should not be vaping.
Whether you’re an advocate for e-cigarettes or an opponent, you’d have to admit that vaping is not good for children. No one wants a child to fall into a habit that has the potential to be troublesome in the future. Here are some tips on how to education your child about vaping and help them stay safe.
1. Talk to Your Kids
The key to keeping your kids from vaping is communication. Most parents are prepared to talk to their kids about cigarettes, drug, and alcohol, but most forget about vaping. In fact, since vaping has only recently become popular, many parents may not consider it an issue.
