The ups and downs of living with a teen

My Week – 21/06/2016

Ok I know I am late with posting this, I have been so busy and not really had a chance to sit down and write my post.

My Daughter, is pretty much the same as last week, although in a lot more pain unfortunately, she had physio last week, and that wiped her out for the rest of the week so we have just been resting up at home.

We had my eldest here for the weekend as he wanted to be here for Fathers Day, and it was the middle ones 18th birthday on Fathers Day, but unfortunately he had to work :(, but he is over the moon to be 18 and I was getting the countdown.

We had a lovely weekend, and it cheered my Daughter up to have her big brother here, as he spoils her rotten, but it is lovely from when they were all younger and all hated each other, and used to fight and argue all the time, so I suppose there is something to them all growing up.

I had a lovely morning yesterday, meeting up with a friend who also has a son with ME, she has been such a great support to me, even at 2am in the morning when I have been wide awake stressing over things, she has been too.  It is lovely to just chat to someone who really understands, I would be lost without her.  Her advice has finally got me a bit further with my Daughters education, and I had a lovely phone conversation with the Head of Education for our area, who is now on the case of finally getting something set in place for her.

This morning, I had another coffee morning, with another friend, we have not seen each other for a while and it was lovely catching up.  Unfortunately that is the end of my social life for a while, I have nothing else planned at the moment.

Bear is now 4 months old, and after his antics today, is on thin ice to whether he reaches 5 months old, but I am sure he will be forgiven as he is such a cheeky boy and you can not stay mad at him for long.

I have also been gardening, it is my worst job ever, I hate every aspect of garden and find no enjoyment out of it, but I do like it to look nice, unfortunately, it was my Dad’s job but it is just too much for him now, and he has finally admitted it is all too much.  So we are making it a more manageable garden so he can still potter but will be a lot less maintenance for him

Not a very exciting week I am afraid, I hope you have all had a good week x

Thank you for visiting x

    1. I really should have taken some before pictures, it was honestly like a jungle, but it is getting there slowly x

    1. This is usually my Dads domain, as both myself and my husband just are not gardeners. But as my Dad can no longer cope with the garden, we have finally talked him round to still being able to garden but in a much easier way. We have so far removed the jungle and are in the process of making raised beds for him. Then we will move onto the next part

  1. We have more of a garden in the new place – I’m not sure what we are going to do with it – definitely going to be interesting that is for sure. Good luck with yours. x

    1. Our garden is huge, unfortunately now my Dad is struggling it is over to us, so is going to be as low maintenance as possible x

  2. It’s lovely that your family are so close and I am sure your daughter gets a lot of pleasure of having her brother around. Bear is just too adorable, and I would forgive him anything!

    1. I love having my family around me, I love fussing over them all (but don’t tell them that), she loves having her brothers around her as it really cheers her up. Bear has certainly pushed his limits this week

  3. I can’t say I enjoy gardening either – far too scared of bugs but I’m the same as you, I like it to look good afterwards. Hoping your daughter has a better week – Thanks for giving us hope that one day our siblings may stop the fighting too!

    1. I hate gardening, I wear gardening gloves and close my eyes and hope for the best :). Yes they do eventually stop the fighting and team up together and now they gang up on me x
