Peanut Butter Honey Cake for Dogs

I was talking with someone the other day and they suggested baking for dogs, I mentioned it to my husband who laughed and then we got chatting about it.  I love baking, but have never done any baking for dogs.

Next day I was busy working away, when my husband text me a recipe for dog treats, I had all the ingredients in so thought why not give it a go.

So I got all the ingredients together and with Max in tow we went up to the studio, Max is not usually allowed anywhere near when I am cooking, so he was very happy to be allowed in and be around where I was working.

You can find the recipe and how to make it here.

As you can see in the video it is very easy to make

Only trouble is, if Max knows I am going up to the studio, or knows I am in there he follows and has a good look around, in case he is missing out.

So am going to be making this a regular feature am sure my helper will get more involved, instead of keep wondering off.

Do you have any dog treat recipes that you have made? If so Max and I would be very happy to make them and promote them for you x

Thank you for visiting x

    1. I have never done anything like this before, but quite enjoyed it, might make it a regular thing and I know Max won’t argue x

    1. As you can see from the recipe there is nothing in there that humans couldn’t eat, they were quite stodgy though, so would have to mess around a bit. I know someone who may play around with the recipe, I will put the challenge to her x

  1. I work in a bookshop and we sell a couple of books on making pet treats. One of the books is called “Cooking for your dog”. Once the price label is on it just reads “cooking your dog”. LOL.

    1. I am going to have to look into this further, I know Max will enjoy it, although I don’t fancy cooking him though lol x

  2. We did make our dog a birthday cake a couple of years ago but in reality it was just a normal cake that we stuck some dog biscuits on top of so we could sing to him – we didn’t actually feed it to him 🙂

    1. Aww and did your dog appreciate his birthday cake and you singing to him :). I have a new post to go up with more treats tomorrow x

    1. Thank you, he loved helping and trying them out when they were finished. We did another video yesterday where he was chatting to me with new treats x

    1. I have posted another one as well, am going to make a regular feature of this, as Max and his baking seems to be quite popular x
