The ups and downs of living with a teen

Back to reality

We have had Christmas and welcomed in the New Year.  It is now time to get back to normality (whatever that is).

I had my day all planned for today, been thinking about it over the last couple of weeks, but today is going to be a hit and miss day.

My Daughter is not due back to school until 10.50 this morning, why I have no idea, every other school goes back at normal time.  The only good thing about this was the alarm could be set a little later than usual which was a blessing, as you know those nights when knowing you have the alarm set for the next morning, you just can not go to sleep no matter how hard you try.  I do remember still being awake at 1.45.

Then it was the worrying about what time my Daughter needs to catch her bus, so she is not there too early and standing around waiting for the gates to open, but not late.  Think I have it sorted now thanks to my amazing phone app.

I also had to be awake early to make a Dr appointment for my Daughter after school, as she has a few pains that are not going since Thursday, and now think maybe it is not her just whinging on about them and perhaps there is something that needs checking (yes I am that horrible Mum that can not stand the whinging about pain when there is nothing wrong), and surprisingly got through on the first attempt and got an appointment for just after school.

Then my Mum has a hospital appointment later this afternoon where she is having a procedure, she thinks she is dying, when we all know she is not, so am losing my patience with that one.  Just hoping she will realise once she is out from her appointment.

Yesterday, we found some devastating news due to the heavy rain, so will be spending the rest of my day sorting that out.

So happy Monday everyone, hopefully this is just a little blip at the start of the new year and 2016 will improve and get better.

Thank you for visiting x
