The ups and downs of living with a teen

Goodbye October – Hello November

Can not believe it is November already, this year has flown by.

We had a better October than we did November, no nasty surprises thankfully I think we had a fair share already.  My husband who suffered an accident at work in May last year finally, after numerous hospital visits etc, has a date for an operation this month, so that was some good news we have waited a very long time for.

We have just finished half term, which started off really well as we had a parents/teacher/student meeting and she has settled really well into school and doing really well and her grades are really good, so we are very proud parents.  Although I have been constantly nagging her about homework all week.

My Daughter has found her independence with shopping trips with friends and going to the cinema and out for lunch, and a 7 hour long trip to the local theme park the other day for fright night, she came home soaking wet and shattered, but had a great day.

We have been busy with the business, with a variety of different photo shoots from models in the 40’s and 50’s  style, handbag designer with the most beautiful handbag ever, which I got to look at and hold, I was too scared to ask the actual price though, to my favourite shoot a Halloween themed cake smash which was a great laugh and loads of fun and even more mess.

I also have a great giveaway running at the moment for the chance to win christmas in a bottle

This month sees my Daughters 12th birthday, it only seems like yesterday she was a baby in my arms.  Her birthday is on a Saturday this year and she wants to go shopping, so we are having a girls day out, Dad is staying home as his knee wont allow him to do all the walking around.  I do love our girly days out. I am really looking forward to it.

We have more photo shoots booked in, which I love, am loving having our studio and meeting so many different people.

My husbands operation, which will hopefully be a success or at least give him some relief and then will be the build up to christmas.

I have a few more reviews to do which will be coming soon, on some great christmas ideas and something for those of you with younger children as well.

Hope October has been good for you, and you have a great November.

Thank you for visiting x

  1. Hard to believe it’s already November! I have GOT to get to grips with the Christmas shopping. I’m normally done by now (but I’m not normally on maternity leave so I would have stashed a load at work).

Glad your daughter enjoyed fright night. She looked awesome!

    1. I know November seems to have come along from nowhere, although my daughter has been counting down. I can never think about christmas until after her birthday.

She had a great time, came home full of it x

    1. It is great working from home in our own studio, it really does make life so much easier. I loved the cake smash was worth all the mess x

    1. Thank you, we won’t know until he is being operated on as to whether they can fix or not, but it is going to be a very long recovery 🙁
