The ups and downs of living with a teen

My Week – 24/10/15

I did my last post a few days early as we went away to a charity ball last weekend.

We set off on Friday late morning to head to Lincoln, luckily we only really hit a bit of traffic on the dreaded M25, we got to the hotel about 3ish and checked in, unloaded the mountain of stuff from the car, as we were the official photographers as well. Then went to have a much needed drink and relax in the bar and waited for one of our friends to turn up.

In the evening we went off to our friends who run the charity and had a mini party, I was driver so was just on the coffee but it was a great night, and also talking to another friend and me being me knew they ran their own business but had no idea what they did.  Turns out they do amazing products and she is sending me some through to review so can not wait to see what she sends through to me.  So had an evening of fun and business.

Saturday, was lovely and relaxing and after we had set up the lights and everything, we headed off to start getting ready. The only stressful bit was taking the photos I swear I was talking Japanese as some people just looked at me blankly while I was trying to make sure everyone was photographed before we put it all away before the evening started.  It was then a mad dash to get everything put away before we could sit down to start the evening.

It was amazing the food, the atmosphere, the music, the auction, the raffle (although I did not win anything as usual), and the video that Emma makes each year to explain why the charity was started and why they do what they do, had me in tears I will choking back the tears at the end.

Sunday was breakfast with everyone so we took over half the dining room, then packing and getting ready to leave and drive home, Sunday evening was just relaxing and doing nothing.

I recently was contacted by a PR agent who is amazing and has teamed me up with some amazing companies, so my postman has been very busy delivering me some amazing products to review, I have already reviewed one of the products LouLouBelle and have some amazing products to still review and a giveaway coming up, ideal for christmas presents.

Wednesday, we had a handbag designer visit us to have some pre launch photos taken of her new line, to say I was excited is an understatement, everyone who knows me knows I love my handbags, my daughter is forever saying how many bags do you need Mum.  She was lovely and I found it so interesting talking to her, and how much goes into designing a bag.  The bad was gorgeous and I got to hold it, although was too scared to ask how much it cost.

School was closed yesterday as we had parents consultations, were we went in with our child to discuss their grades, to say I am a very proud Mum is an understatement, she is doing fantastically at school.  She then had a couple of friends around for he afternoon so was very noisy and fun, but I love all their chat and laughter.

I hope you have all had a good week, have you done anything interesting?

Thank you for visiting x
