The ups and downs of living with a teen

My Week – 19/09/15

After all the stress of last week, we were hoping on a much easier week this week.  My Dad is getting stronger by the day which is great, he does just need to realise he can’t do everything he wants to at the minute.

My daughter has really shown how much she is growing up and changed, since starting secondary school, as you would have seen from my previous post.

This week has been very upsetting and also very excited, a lot of mixed emotions going on.

Last Saturday, my Mother in Law phoned me to say that her Mum had taken a turn for the worse and they were being called in, so obviously we were waiting on news and I had my hand stuck to me like glue, and it was like this all week, until Thursday when they were told she was going downhill rapidly, so every time my phone rang, I jumped.  The call came at 7.20am yesterday morning that she had finally passed.  It was a huge relief as she had been so ill, but also obviously upsetting.  I dreaded telling the kids, but they all took the news well and were all stars.

On happier themes, after a lot of blood, sweat and tears (mainly my husbands), we have opened the doors on our new business.  We are now the proud owners of our photography business, yes I have been getting a lot of tutorial sessions this week, and have learnt so much more than I thought I already knew.  It has taken a long time to get here but we now have our very own studio finally finished.

So, alongside my blogging and being a mum, I am also working hard on the business.

I am now hoping that next week is going to be much kinder on our emotions.

How has your week been?
