The Best Advent Calendars For The Whole Family

Love it or hate it, Christmas will soon be here.  But before we start getting busy with the present buying and wrapping, and preparing for Christmas Day.  We have to start the countdown with an Advent Calendar.

I have been working hard on finding the best Advent Calendars for the whole family.

Threaders Fabrikit – Advent Calendar – £14.99

The Threaders Fabrikit Advent Calendar is available at Crafters Companion.  Ideal for beginners or for a quick project, the pattern pieces feature cute characters which have been printed onto the fabric.  All you need to do is cut out the pieces and stitch as per instructions, the thread is also included.


Konstsmide Illuminated House Advent Calendar – £49.99

The Konstsmide Advent Calendar is made of natural wood in the shape of a house, and finished with 24 brightly coloured drawers.  Each of the drawers has a little handle and a number to represent each day, and is lit by 29 warm white LED’s which makes the day numbers and motif prominent. The Haribo Advent calendar is available from various retailers, each day you will find a mini bag of treats behind each door from Tropifrutti, Goldbears and MAOAM, also included are themed treats each day look out for Santa’s boot, a red hatted reindeer and gold star topped Christmas tree.

Webbox have even thought of our furry friends and produced an advent calendar for dogs, each day find a delicious treat for your dog to enjoy.  Available from a range of retailers.

    Oh these all look great! My kids only ever want chocolate calendars here, and me too if I’m honest. I did have a gin one one year though!

      Mine our the same, but with the crafters calendar and the wooden one you can fill with what you like so can be chocolate or little toys

    The Advent calendar is such a staple for the holidays. The wine one was really neat. I know a few folks that would love that!

      I love the traditional ones as well, the first two shown are great as you add a piece to make a story each day up until the 24th
