It is day 13 of Blogtober16, and todays topic is asking what is in my fridge.
I would like to start off by saying, I would love to open my fridge and find the contents to look just like those on TV programs or adverts. You know the ones where the fridge is jam packed with healthy food, or food in nice uniformed plastic labelled containers. Beautiful colours of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad items.
Then, I open my eyes and go to my fridge and it is nothing like that, I do try I really do. Unfortunately my fridge is quite bare at the moment as it is coming up to shopping day and having 2 kids in the house, well I am sure I do not need to explain how that pans out.
My contents at the moment is milk, butter, cheese, eggs, bacon, ham, carrots, mixed peppers, apple juice, a few pickle jars, cheese spread, mayonnaise and salad cream, and left over chilli from earlier.
I am pretty impressed that there is so much left in my fridge on a Thursday, all I have replaced this week is milk and apple juice.
Unfortunately, like the fridges I started off talking about in this post, that are all neat and tidy, mine looks like I have just opened the door and thrown everything in. I do clean and put my items in the fridge, and I re tidy and put things where they should be, I make it easy to see what is in there. But the kids go in (the elder one mainly as C hardly does) and the contents are all over the place, but just one day a week when I have been shopping my fridge will look tidy and healthy for 5 minutes.
What is your fridge like?
