Blogtober Day 10 – One Thing You Can’t Live Without

Blogtober Day 10 - One Thing You Can't Live Without

Day 10 of the Blogtober challenge is finding out what one thing I can not live without is.

There is a few things, coffee being one of them. But the one thing I can not live without is my mobile phone.  Years ago when they started getting popular, it still took me a while to get one. I did not think I would need one, and now I can not live without one.

Why my phone is so important to me

  • Calender – I have all my Daughters various hospital appointments on it. This makes it easier for me to try to remember and be able to plan things much easier.
  • Emails – If I am out I can see if any important emails come in. Often these are jobs, or to do with my Daughters schooling and I can reply at the time and not wait until I am home and on my laptop.
  • Camera – I have a camera on me at all times to take pictures of memories.
  • Phone – If my Daughter is at school or I am out, I can be contacted at any time if I am needed to pick her up, I often have the hospital ring regarding appointments.  Or I am able to contact someone immediately
  • Google Maps – My sense of direction is terrible so there has been many a time I have needed google maps to help me out
  • Social Media – Obviously writing a blog means interacting on social media and I can do this while waiting for appointments, whilst travelling, anywhere really.

I will admit though, that sometimes I forget to take my phone out and it is quite nice having a bit of freedom where I cannot be contacted.

What is the one thing you could not do without

Mobile phones can do so much these days. I still remember my first one where I had to pull up the ariel and use it outside for the best reception and all it did was make calls! I couldn’t even text on it and it didn’t have a screen. I thought I couldn’t live without it back then, I was working full time and always arranging childcare for my kids after school.

They have certainly changed so much since we first started using them, they are mini computers now

Sometimes I like to just switch my phone off and have a break but they’re pretty convenient pieces of technology. I probably couldn’t live without my nan <3 although we all know they'll be a time where I will have too.

Probably my phone, truth be told. I guess that’s quite telling in this modern world, but it’s the truth. I use it so much!

I need my phone, not just for social media side of things but if my Daughter needs me

I’m not sure what I’d put, but I have a feeling it would be a tech item (computer, phone etc.) if I had to choose an inanimate object.

It is hard to choose, as there is quite a lot I couldn’t live without x

I do love my phone, I was without it for a week and felt like I lost some of me! If it wasn’t for my planner I would have had a breakdown! #Blogtober16

I have to agree with you there. I do EVERYTHING on my phone, just like you. If I lost it, I honestly don’t know what I would do. It is almost, sadly, like an extension of me xx
