My Week – 12/09/2016

I have not done a my week post for a while now, due for various reasons, but am going to restart doing them, as I know a lot of people liked them and I have had people message me regarding them, also sorry this is a little late.

Last week, was full of mainly positives for a change.  Will start with my Daughter C, I had a little panic on Monday, as we had not heard anything regarding her tutoring sessions, and school starting back on Wednesday, so the emails restarted.  The Attendance Officer at C’s school is lovely and came straight back to me, to reassure me it was all in hand and she was not expecting C in on Wednesday.  Tuesday I had confirmation for a meeting on Friday, to meet her new Tutor and Lead Tutor.  The meeting went really well and her Tutor is lovely, and someone I think C will be able to work with and she liked her as well, which is a huge relief.  She is starting back and doing 1 hour on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to get her back into a routine, and then it is being reviewed to see how she is getting on and to see if we can increase her hours.  We have also agreed she will do her lessons in school, as this I think will be a huge part of getting back into the routine and preparing for (hopefully)  a return to school.  In herself she is up and down, has her good days and bad days, yesterday was a bad day for her but today she seems a little brighter.

My stepson S, who moved in with us, has had a pretty good week, his Dad had a long chat with him last weekend about college, careers etc, and S agreed to go and have another look at the college.  Before we went I decided to have a look on their website and was looking through, and the courses were all full, so as you do when you are 18, he gets an attitude on.  We then looked through other options, and he is starting a Princes Trust course tomorrow, he also got a phone call from somewhere he went to when he was walking around looking for work and has an interview with them today.  So hopefully he will be busy from now on.

We had a lovely weekend, as it was one of my husbands 50th Birthdays and he had a party on Saturday night, so was lovely to meet up with friends and have a great time.  We stayed at our friends house and I will admit I felt a little delicate yesterday morning.

So on the whole our week was a little more positive and things seem to be slotting into place.
