I really do not need to introduce Sarsons, as soon as we hear the name Sarsons we all think of vinegar, so I am not going to tell you all, what you already know :).
I was recently set a challenge, of using Sarsons and was sent a package of various Sarsons vinegars to try
Malt vinegar – I always have to have this in my cupboard for my fish and chips
Pickling Distilled Vinegar
I was supposed to create some lovely dishes and tips around the vinegar range, unfortunately due to personal reasons things have been a bit of a nightmare at home, and I have been living up to my blog name of a very StressedMum.
When I agreed to take part in this, I was quite excited to take part, and having a look on the Sarsons website, I was excited to get in my kitchen and have a play with the recipes. I am not sure if it is just me, but I start looking for recipes and then get more and more confused by what I want to make. So as I have not been able to get into my kitchen properly and try out the recipes. As I make them I will be posting on my blog each recipe I make using the products I was sent, and how easy or hard they were.
I have tried the Distilled Pickling Vinegar and for the first time ever, I made pickled eggs, my husband and Daughter are disgusted by these, myself and one of my boys love them.
Since attending a pickles event, my love of pickles have heightened, and I am wanting to pickle everything, so will be trying out various pickling recipes as well.
Not only is vinegar good for cooking, sauces, marinades and pickling, it is also useful for around the home as well with cleaning. Sarsons have a page full of great tips to help with all sorts of problems, some I did know others I have learnt.
So keep your eyes peeled for some new recipes coming up soon
