My Week – 15/05/16

I can not believe another week has passed, it seems to have flown by this week.

My Daughter has had a really bad week this week, and did not make school, we had her consultants appointment on Tuesday, and more blood tests.  We managed to get her into the hospital for her appointment and then used a wheelchair, have you ever tried to steer one of those, they do not go in a straight line, so that gave us a few laughs.  The appointment went well, and he is supporting her using a wheelchair, so that is on my list of must gets this week.  He was pleased to see her smiling even though she was wiped out and in pain, he did a few exercises with her.  We discussed a few things and have an appointment for 3 months time, but can ring before if we need too.

Thursday, we had physio, unfortunately, she was having a bad day and trouble walking, so it was more of a chatting appointment, her physio is supporting our application for a mobility badge and the consultants recommendation for a wheelchair. Which is great news, as it means we can get out and about much easier now.

With both the appointments it took it all out of her, so we did a few school lessons at home, and I sat there with her helping her understand the bits she was getting confused with, and even I learnt a few things.

Today, has been a bed day for her, as it has been a really bad day, but hopefully she will have a better day tomorrow.

This week has been ME Awareness week, and I have been writing posts relating to ME, and have been amazed at the support, and the comments and messages I have received.  I would like to say thank you to everyone.

Bear is 12 weeks today, and he has grown so much, earlier in the week one ear started to stand up and today we now have 2 ears up, which has amused my Daughter as they are so big bless him.  We have started training him with easy commands, and looks like he is going to be easy to train.  Although he is a right terror and the house often looks like a whirlwind has gone through it.  I am also full of little scars where he is still very chewy and likes nothing more than thinking my feet are toys to grab hold of when I am waking.  He also knows if he has something he shouldn’t as he can run very fast.

Max is being great with him, and they have started playing really rough, with Bear hanging off Max or climbing all over him.

Both myself and my husband have felt depressed this week, as our timehop and facebook memories have been bringing up our holiday to the Dominican Republic which we went on last year, those of you who are friends with me on facebook would have seen my posts.  We had a great holiday and really want to go back.

Yesterday and today has been clearing rubbish from the garden and a huge sort out we had the other week, we have filled a skip quite easily, but at least the garden looks so much better now.

As my Daughter has had a bad week and weekend, we have not really done anything, so has been very quiet, hopefully we have a nice weekend planned for next week though.

How has your week been? Hope you have had a good one.

They are, Bear seems to have adopted me as if I am around he will follow me, even if he is asleep somewhere I tend to have a puppy keeping my feet warm. Hopefully she will x

She had a hard week which knocked it out of her, she had a really bad day yesterday and is still suffering today, she loves the dogs and the pup keeps her busy when she can manage it x

My blue badge has changed my life – it means I can get out into town every now and again and go places I couldn’t have before as just walking from the car to the place would have been too much.

Oh no bless her but the main thing is that she is trying really hard and she must be in so much pain. Bear is growing up so quickly!

I hate her being so ill, I really want to wave some kind of magic wand over her and make her better. Bear is growing very quickly x

Oh I do feel for you and your daughter following this post. I’m glad the professionals are listening and trying to come up with solutions to get her out more. Hopefully being more mobile will lift all of your spirits. Hope you get to return to the Dominican one day x

It is hard when she is having her bad days, unfortunately they are not lifting at the moment, we should have her wheelchair soon so that will make things a lot easier and get her out, which may help her. We will get back there one day, we have promised her we will take her there x

Sorry to hear your daughter had a bad week, but good to see that the dogs are cheering her up. I feel your Timehop pain too, this time last year I was in Magaluf and instead I’m zonked from work on the sofa. Hope you’re having a better week

Timehop is good for memories, but sometimes it does depress you as you want to be doing that again. Still having a bad week hopefully next week will be better x

I’m so sorry your daughter had a bad week. Glad her consultant and physio are supporting her getting to use a wheelchair. That will hopefully help with her independence and quality of life. I hope this week was better. I will go read your ME awareness posts when I have the time.

Thank you, it has been a bad couple of weeks for her, but we now have a wheelchair and it really is helping, we can now go out and not have to think about how far and parking etc
