Buff & Butter Review

I was recently in a very lucky position to be offered the chance to review Buff & Butter essential oils products.  I have always had an interest in essential oils. And loved reading about how they can help with moods and medical conditions.

As you know my Daughter has been diagnosed with ME. Which is a chronic illness that effects the suffer in many different ways.  I spoke to Buff & Butter about their oils and how they may help my Daughter, and they sent me through 4 oils.  Organic Peppermint, Rosemary, Geranium and Eucalyptus Globus.

  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil –

This oil has many benefits. The most obvious is for cold symptoms and helps including helping to clear sinuses and congestion, and is great in an oil burner.  It is also helpful for soothing aching muscles and rheumatism due to its warming effects, as well has headaches.  I have been combining this with massage oils and creams and massaging onto my Daughters legs to help reduce the pain she is in.

  • Geranium Essential Oil –

This is my favourite oil, I used it to scent a candle (I will talk about that later), it is also good for creating calm environments and eliminating odours.  I have used this around my house.

  • Peppermint Essential Oil –

This has similar benefits to the Eucalyptus Oil, it can help with clearing the sinuses, and helping chest infections, and is well known for helping with headaches.  It is also known for helping stimulate the mind and alertness and stimulating blood flow and relieving pain.

  • Rosemary Essential Oil –

Another favourite of mine, Rosemary Oil also helps with stimulating the mind and raise alterness, and is good in baths to help ease congestion.

I received these products a few weeks ago, and have waited on posting my review. I wanted to try them properly and also combine with ME Awareness Week. As ultimately I wanted to try these oils as an aide to my Daughters illness.

We have tried all the essential oils, and we have experimented with how to use them. If you look online you can find a lot of information on how to use the oils. Including their benefits and what combinations you can use them with.  We have tried, mixing with carrier oils, using in burners and even made a candle.

What Was Our Opinion

My overall opinion on the oils. Obviously they can not cure my Daughters illness. But I do feel that they can help especially on her bad days.  I will be continuing to order them.

Buff & Butter also kindly sent me a candle making kit to try, I have loved my candles for many years, and have always wanted to make my own but like everything, I have never got around to making them before. I made one with Geranium Essential Oil, and it smells amazing.  I will be continuing to make candles, and on the Buff & Butter website they have a section for candle scents, and I know I will be purchasing a variety of them to make my own.

They are so easy to make as you can see in my video

If you are interested in essential oils or candle making, I can not recommend Buff & Butter highly enough, their delivery is fast, the website is very easy to navigate and full of information if you are unsure which oil to use or how they blend together.

I swear by Lavender Oil – it helps me sleep but it also has played a huge part in the management of my anxiety disorder (and I hate the smell but it works so well). I will check out Buff+Butter’s website 🙂 I also love Jasmine, but it’s so expensive I use it very sparingly.
