My Week – 13/12/15

This week has been a right mix of emotions, I have seriously been through the mill.

My Mum was called in for a laparoscopy on Wednesday, she had the call on Tuesday afternoon, following a scan she had last week.  Luckily it was not as serious as we thought and hopefully with the medication she has now been put on and monitoring she should be fine. Obviously, this did not stop me worrying though.

Thursday evening was chatting to my stepson and his girlfriend and they confided something to me that I could not tell anyone, this killed me as I never keep anything from my husband, but he made me promise not to tell his Dad.

Friday, was a lovely day my youngest stepson and his girlfriend came to stay for the night, as you can see Max was very pleased to see him.  We picked them up at lunchtime and then my inlaws came over in the afternoon to see them and were here when my Daughter came home from school. She had no idea they would all be here was lovely to see her face.  I cooked a lovely roast dinner and we all sat chatting and then went up to the studio for some new pictures, although unfortunately my Daughter did not join us so still no new pictures of those two together.

Saturday, we had a lovely relaxing day before taking them home early evening, it was such a lovely time and can not wait to have them here again.

Today, I took my Dad out to town so he could do his christmas shopping, since his stroke, he has been very confused and needs to use a stick.  He has been stressing about doing his shopping, so we caught the bus into town, and shopped and had lunch, and had a really lovely time together, I can not remember the last time I spent a day with just my Dad and I really enjoyed it.

When I got home, it was back to nagging Mum as my daughter had not done her homework or any of the stuff I told her to do.

Hope you have all had a good week x

I find it hard to keep secrets like that where I can’t tell my nearest and dearest. It makes you a great person though to have that kind of trust. x

I usually tell my husband everything we just don’t keep secrets, this is the first time I have ever had to do it and it was very hard, but at least they know I will keep my promise and they both know they can talk to me anytime x

All we wanted was 10 minutes in the studio to have some photos together, I will get my way and get them in the same room as the camera one day, she always moans about having her photo taken where as her brother would pose all day. And thank you hopefully the medication will kick in soon x
