Quick Smoothie Recipe

If you have kids, then you will probably had one of  those moments, when we get asked ‘Can I have a Smoothie?’ and you haven’t been shopping, and have to say no.  My quick smoothie recipe might just get you the title of the best Mum or Dad.

My recipe is very quick and very easy and can be made in a matter of minutes.

All you need is –

Milk

Fruit (banana, strawberries etc)

Honey (to taste)

To make pour half a glass of milk and add to the blender along with the fruit and a little bit of honey and then blitz, the result is a homemade smoothie in minutes.

If I have some bananas that are going slightly old, I usually peel them and freeze down so I always have fruit in to make a smoothie on demand.

With my Daughter now being ill, and eating sometimes is not an option, I am making smoothies more often and also dealing with her likes and dislikes I try to mix the smoothies up a little more.

As well as banana and strawberry which is the usual staple, I have tried raspberries, blackberries, mango, peaches, apricots.

Also I now add yoghurt which have added vitamins in them.

I am yet to try out adding any vegetables to her smoothies yet, but have been looking into incorporating them, with carrot to start and see how we get on.

I do love homemade smoothies, as they are very quick and easy to make but I also know they are healthy, tasty and give you some of your 5 a day before you have even left the house.
